Product Description

A Gently Aged Look for a Traditional Les Paul Studio

Hugely popular since it first hit the scene in 1983, the Les Paul Studio has won over thousands of players by nailing genuine Les Paul features, feel and tone at an unbeatable price. The Les Paul Studio Faded brings back the same stripped-down ethos in Traditional form, with the gently aged look of a faded satin nitrocellulose finish and the Studio’s lack of body and fingerboard binding for a no-nonsense package, all at a superb value for a genuine American-made Gibson electric guitar. The classic tonewood combination of a carved maple top with mahogany back with modern weight relief delivers timeless Les Paul depth, clarity and sustain. Features common to Gibson USA’s 2016 Traditional range include our original neck width of 1 11/16-inch at the nut, historic neck heel shape, standard high-quality manual tuners, a traditional Graph Technut, and other details. Upgraded Burstbucker Pro humbuckers offer a range of PAF-inspired tones, with wax potting to combat squeal in high-gain situations. The guitar also has a dark, dense baked maple fingerboard with historic trapezoid inlays. Gibson USA sets up your Les Paul Studio T so it plays the way any truly great American-made guitar should, right out of the padded gigbag.

Body and neck

The body of the Les Paul Studio Faded is crafted from the classic combination of a carved maple top and mahogany back with modern weight relief to improve comfort and enhance resonance, with a satin nitro finish for a gently aged look and feel. The glued-in neck uses the classic neck heel shape, and has the original width of 1 11/16-inch at the nut. The baked maple fingerboard has a traditional dark look and great durability, and carries traditional trapezoid inlays.

Pickups and electronics

The Burst Bucker Pro pickups are made in the image of the hallowed PAF humbucker with Alnico magnets and mismatched coils for added bit and clarity, but the coils are wax potted to combat squeal in high-gain playing situations. They are routed through independent volume and tone controls and a three-way toggle switch.

Hardware

The hardware follows Gibson’s classic Les Paul complement of a Tune-o-matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, and high-quality traditional tuners. Together, they provide smooth and easy tune-ups, solid tone, and precise intonation.

Protective case

The guitar comes protected in a brown form-fitting Gibson USA hard shell case and includes an Owner’s Manual.
